The manifesto, the prime minister said, focuses on four pillars of Viksit Bharat -- women power, youth power, farmers and the poor, to improve the “quality of life”, “dignity of life” and “increase income”.
The BJP on Sunday, 14 April, morning, released its manifesto known as the “Sankalp Patra” with tagline “Modi ki Guarantee” for the Lok Sabha election 2024, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, party president JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
The day coincides with the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. The top party brass unveiled the manifesto with a bust of BR Ambedkar and the Constitution on stage with Nadda emphasising Ambedkar’s struggle for social justice.
BJP had appointed a 27-member manifesto committee headed by Rajnath Singh that convened twice to deliberate on its contents following various initiatives launched by the party, such as sending vans across the country and conducting social media campaigns, to gather people’s suggestions.
The party reportedly, received over 1.5 million suggestions for its manifesto, with more than 400,000 submitted through the NaMo app and over 1.1 million through videos.
The manifesto, the prime minister said, focuses on four pillars of Viksit Bharat — women power, youth power, farmers and the poor, to improve the “quality of life”, “dignity of life” and “increase income”.
