Trends in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh at 2 pm

Here are the trends from three of the four states across the country that are witnessing the counting of votes on 3 December.

With four out of five states across the country — that went to polls in November — witnessing the counting of votes on Sunday, 3 December, updates are coming in at regular intervals.

Meanwhile, this section tracks the trends in the 234 seats in Madhya Pradesh, 200 in Rajasthan, and 90 in Chhattisgarh.

Election trends at 2 pm

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the numbers are stabilising, more or less. Trends suggest Congress: 69 seats, BJP: 114 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has a sweeping majority. Trends suggest Congress: 66 seats, BJP: 161 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the trends go against the Congress. Trends suggest Congress: 34 seats, BJP: 53 seats.

Election trends at 1.30 pm

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the Congress position weakens even more, even as the shifting numbers benefit the BJP. Trends suggest Congress: 72 seats, BJP: 111 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP has a runaway lead. Trends suggest Congress: 64 seats, BJP: 163 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the trends clearly favour the BJP as the Congress numbers drop. Trends suggest Congress: 34 seats, BJP: 53 seats.

Election trends at 1 pm

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the Congress position weakens further, as the shifting figures appear to continue to benefit the BJP. Trends suggest Congress: 72 seats, BJP: 112 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP trends are unassailable. Trends suggest Congress: 66 seats, BJP: 161 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the Congress continues to be in trouble as the gap with the BJP increases even further. Trends suggest Congress: 38 seats, BJP: 51 seats.

Election trends at 12 pm

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the Congress position weakens, while the shifting figures appear to benefit the BJP. Trends suggest Congress: 66 seats, BJP: 118 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP lead appears unassailable. Trends suggest Congress: 69 seats, BJP: 158 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the Congress continues to be in trouble as the gap with the BJP continues to widen. Trends suggest Congress: 40 seats, BJP: 48 seats

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the Congress grip slackens in the tug of war with the BJP. Trends suggest Congress: 74 seats, BJP: 101 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP trends are unassaible. Trends suggest Congress: 78 seats, BJP: 150 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the Congress is now in trouble, as the gap with the BJP increases. Trends suggest Congress: 41 seats, BJP: 47 seats.

The following appear to be the trends of the Assembly election results in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh:

  • In Rajasthan, the tug-of-war between the Congress and the BJP continues. Trends suggest Congress: 81 seats, BJP: 98 seats.
  • In Madhya Pradesh, the BJP continues to consolidate its big lead as the Congress loses steam. Trends suggest Congress: 80 seats, BJP: 148 seats.
  • In Chhattisgarh, the Congress now trails the BJP, as trends reverse. Trends suggest Congress: 42 seats, BJP: 47 seats.
