Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister MK Stalin admitted to hospital 2 days after Covid diagnosis

According to the Kauvery Hospital, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin is under observation for Covid-related symptoms.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin shifted to hospital two days after tested Covid positive.

Two days after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin tested positive for Covid-19, he was shifted to a Chennai-based hospital for better medical care on Thursday, 14 July, morning.

According to the Kauvery Hospital press release, Stalin has been admitted to the hospital for investigations and observation for Covid-related symptoms.

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi after learning Stalin had been admitted to a hospital for medical care wished the chief minister a speedy recovery.

“I learnt with utmost concern that you have tested positive for Covid-19. You have been a dynamic public leader with significant public contact making you vulnerable to this contagion. I pray for your sound health and speedy recovery,” Ravi told Stalin in a letter.

Former chief minister O Panneerselvam (OPS) tweeted that he prayed to the Almighty for Stalin’s quick recovery.

OPS in his tweet in Tamil wrote, “I pray to the almighty God that they get well soon from the coronavirus and continue their work for the people.”

Stalin on Tuesday, 12 July, after being tested positive, tweeted, “I was feeling a bit tired today. Tests confirmed that I am Covid-19 positive. I have isolated myself.”

In his tweet, he requested the people to wear masks. “Let’s all wear masks, get vaccinated, and stay safe,” his tweet read.
