Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla requesting the inclusion of the expunged portions of his speech. He said saying “selective expunction” defies logic and that the remarks be restored. Gandhi said while the Chair derives powers to expunge certain remarks, the stipulation was for those words specified in the Lok Sabha rules.
