Synopsis: Telangana ACB officials trapped Manthani sub-registrar Rajender and document writer Rasheed while allegedly accepting ₹16,500 from a farmer for land registration. In a separate case, ACB sleuths caught a steno and two assistants in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district taking ₹5,000 for a certified judgment copy.
Telangana ACB officials caught Manthani sub-registrar Kasarly Rajender along with a private document writer while allegedly receiving a bribe of ₹16,500 from a farmer on Friday, 20 February.
According to ACB sources, Rajender had demanded bribe from a farmer of Puttapaka village in order to register his land.

Unable to meet the demand, the farmer approached ACB, which organised a trap and caught Rajender in the act of accepting the sum through document writer Rasheed. Further enquiries are currently under way.
In a separate incident, ACB sleuths in Warangal caught a steno grade-1 officer and two assistants red-handed while taking a bribe of ₹5,000 at the District Principal and Sessions Court in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Thursday, 19 February.

Officials stated that the accused received the money through subordinates Kommu Sunitha and Punnam Rajitha from the complainant, in exchange for handing over a certified copy of a judgment. The complainant had alerted ACB officers, who devised a plan and trapped the accused. The tainted amount was later recovered.
