The India Meteorological Department has issued yellow alerts to several districts in Keralam, warning of isolated heavy rainfall between 10 and 12 September as a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal.
Light to moderate rain is expected across the state until 13 September, with heavier spells likely in some areas.
Alappuzha and Ernakulam are on alert for 10 September; Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam on 11 September; and Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Ernakulam and Palakkad on 12 September.
Hyderabad is likely to be mainly cloudy with a couple of showers in the afternoon. The maximum temperature is likely to be 32 degrees Celsius and the minimum, 25 degrees Celsius.
A brief shower or two in the morning; otherwise, cloudy and remaining very warm. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 36 and 26 degrees Celsius.
The Chennai airport area will be very warm with considerable cloudiness; a thunderstorm in spots in the afternoon. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 36 and 27 degrees Celsius.
Bengaluru will be partly to mostly cloudy on Thursday. The maximum and minimum temperatures are predicted to be 31 and 21 degrees Celsius.
