Telangana: KCR visits Yadadri Narsimha Swamy temple with Vijayan, Kejriwal, Mann ahead of ‘grand’ Khammam meeting

17 varieties of non-veg and 21 types of veg dishes are being reportedly prepared for the guests at the mega rally.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, along with chief ministers of three states and two major political leaders, reached Sri Laksmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri ahead of the Bharat Rashtriya Samithi’s (BRS) “grand” public meeting in Khammam on Tuesday, 18 January.

The leaders include the Chief Ministers of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, Delhi Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Bhagwant Mann. They were joined by former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and Communist Party of India (CPI) senior leader D Raja.

While Kejriwal, Mann, Vijayan reached Hyderabad on 17 January, Yadav and D Raja reached on Tuesday.

The chief ministers and leaders were welcomed by the priests and Vedic scholars at the Tritala Rajagopuram of the temple. The leaders paid respect to  god Anjaneya Swamy, also known as Hanuman.

At the Yadadiri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, the priests performed special prayers.

The leaders then viewed the photo exhibition organized in the premises of the temple.

Chief Minister KCR gave a tour and spoke of the progress and modernisation of the temple to the leaders and explained the process.

As per reports, 17 varieties of non-veg and 21 types of veg dishes are being prepared for the guests at the mega BRS Khammam rally. Dishes like mutton biryani, chicken dum biryani, prawn biryani and natu kodi curry are likely to be served.

“The temple visit will be over between 2 and 3 pm. The leaders will then head for BRS public meeting in Khammam expected to start by evening, 5 pm,” a Telangana CMO official told South First.

In Khammam, they would also attend the launch of the second phase of ‘Kanti Velugu’, the Telangana government’s eye screening programme.
