Kishan Reddy hoists the National flag

Union Tourism Minister and Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy on Tuesday, 15 August, said that the state had become captive in the hands of the family of its Chief Minister and BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao.

Addressing the party leaders after unfurling the national flag at the party headquarters in Nampally in Hyderabad, he said everyone in the country should take a pledge to stay away from politics of appeasement, family, corruption, and dictatorship.

The situation in Telangana would deteriorate if KCR became the chief minister once again, he said, adding that if any land was found, the ruling party was selling them illegally through auction.

Kishan Reddy also said that the BRS government was creating problems for farmers through the Dharani portal, which was introduced to carry out the registration of agricultural transactions. At the same time, liquor was overflowing in the state, he said.

Equating BRS, Congress

The Telangana BJP president accused the chief minister’s family of ruling the state by taking 30 percent “commission”.

He said the Telangana government was resorting to repressive measures and detaining those who are questioning the ruling party’s leaders.

The youth were facing untold problems because of the cancellation of job notifications due to reasons best known to the government, he said, adding that the situation in several universities was pathetic because of a lack of proper amenities.

Claiming that the BRS and the Congress had the same DNA, Kishan Reddy said Congress leaders took commission when the party was in power in the erstwhile united Andhra Pradesh, while the BRS leaders were asking for shares in the government projects now.

The people have realised the fact that if they vote for Congress, it was akin to voting for the BRS, he said.

Referring to the development and welfare schemes introduced by the Union government in the last nine years, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was working in accordance with the aspirations of freedom fighters.

The Union government was striving to eradicate poverty by 2047, and the whole world is looking towards India, he added.
