Duddilla Sridhar Babu

Telangana’s Minister for Industries and Information Technology Duddilla Sridhar Babu officially assumed charge at the BR Ambedkar Secretariat in Hyderabad, marking the commencement of his tenure.

He attended to key matters by signing three crucial files addressing longstanding concerns voiced by stakeholders within the IT and Industries Departments.

The primary focus of the minister’s initial actions was the formulation of a dedicated policy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), accompanied by the establishment of an institutional mechanism designed to provide comprehensive support and guidance to MSMEs throughout the state.

More initiatives

In a move towards greater transparency and accessibility, the minister’s second initiative involved the creation of a unified platform for online submission of Right to Information (RTI) applications.

This universal platform, applicable across various departments, is expected to address a recurring concern raised by RTI activists and civil society, and seeks to enhance accountability and transparency within government departments.

The third initiative by the minister focused on the integration of digital technologies across all government departments and agencies.

A comprehensive study would be promptly undertaken to evaluate the readiness of each department and identify opportunities for the strategic implementation of digital tools.

This aims to leverage technology to enhance public service delivery and streamline departmental operations, ensuring a more efficient and responsive governance framework.
