Telangana Formation Day 21-day itinerary announced as the state turns 10

Telangana is set to celebrate the 10th year of the state’s formation with a wide range of activities from 2 June.

Announcing the 21-day schedule of the celebrations, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that each day will have a specific theme.

Showcasing the progress the state had made over the past decade, the logo highlights significant projects carried out by the government. These included irrigation projects such as the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme, Mission Bhagiratha, and others.

Meanwhile, the celebrations will include the most sought-after distribution of pattas (legal document of land) to tribals living on forest land, where they are engaged in podu (slash-and-burn) cultivation.

Chief Minister Rao directed the officials to ensure that the tribals who will get podu land pattas get the Rythu Bandhu (farmers’ investment scheme) subsidy.

He added that the details of the bank accounts should be conveyed to the finance department to facilitate the transfer of money.

The chief minister also wanted a district collectors’ conference on 25 May for finalising the arrangements for the Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
