Karnataka figured sixth among Indian states and Union Territories in GSDP growth rate.

Karnataka's per capita income in the 2024-25 financial year increased by 2.59 percent to 12.09 from 9.50 percent in 2023-24.
Synopsis: Karnataka emerged as the top state in terms of per capita Net State Domestic Product in 2024–25, with an impressive ₹3.81 lakh per person. Telangana followed closely at ₹3.80 lakh, placing both states ahead of traditionally dominant economies like Maharashtra and Haryana.
Karnataka retained its third position among Indian states with the highest Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), recording a year-on-year growth of 2.53 percent to ₹28.83 lakh crore for the financial year 2024-25.
The data released by the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation put the GSDP at 12.77 percent, which was less than the 16.46 percent reported in 2022-23. In 2023-24, the GSDP was ₹25.57 lakh crore (10.24 percent).
Karnataka figured sixth among Indian states and Union Territories in GSDP growth rate (inflation adjusted). The growth in 2024-25 was 7.37 percent, up from 5.98 percent in 2023-24. In 2022-23, the GSDP growth was 10.52 percent.
Tamil Nadu led the nation in GSDP growth rate with a robust 9.69 percent. Andhra Pradesh at 8.21 percent, Assam at 7.94 percent, Rajasthan 7.82 percent and Haryana 7.55 percent, completed the top five states.
Karnataka’s per capita income in the 2024-25 financial year increased by 2.59 percent to 12.09 from 9.50 percent in 2023-24. The per capita income during the reporting financial year was ₹3,80,906, whereas it was ₹3,39,813 crore and ₹3,10,325 crore in 2023-24 and 2022-23, respectively.
Karnataka emerged as the top state in terms of per capita Net State Domestic Product (NSDP) in 2024–25, with an impressive ₹3.81 lakh per person. Telangana followed closely at ₹3.80 lakh, placing both states ahead of traditionally dominant economies like Maharashtra and Haryana.
In 2024-25, the per capita income growth of Karnataka was 6.58 percent. It was 5.26 percent in 2023-24 and 10.58 percent in 2022-23.
Karnataka retained its third position in NSDP contribution in FY 2024-25. It contributed ₹26.03 lakh crore while Maharashtra stood first with a contribution of ₹39.57 lakh crore, followed by Tamil Nadu with ₹27.65 crore.
