Tamil Nadu hikes fees for management, NRI quota MBBS seats

The fee for management quota seats has been increased from ₹13,50,000 to ₹15,00,000.

The fee for management quota seats has been increased from ₹13,50,000 to ₹15,00,000.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Medical Education has notified an increase in MBBS course fees for management and NRI quotas for the academic year 2025-26.

However, the fee for government quota seats in the state’s 21 self-financing medical colleges remains unchanged — it continues to be between ₹4,35,000 and ₹4,50,000.

However, the fee for management quota seats has been increased from ₹13,50,000 to ₹15,00,000.

The fee for NRI quota seats has been revised from ₹24,50,000 to ₹27,00,000.

In four private medical universities, the updated MBBS course fee structure is as follows:

  • Government quota: ₹5,40,000
  • Management quota: ₹16,20,000
  • NRI quota: ₹30,00,000
