Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao has assured government support for elderly artists dedicated to preserving traditional art forms. During an interaction at Ravindra Bharathi, facilitated by former MLA Mrityunjayam, artists urged the minister to introduce pensions, health insurance, and official ID cards for deserving senior artists.
Acknowledging their contributions, especially during the Telangana movement, Jupally promised to take up the matter with the Chief Minister and work toward resolving their concerns. He emphasised the government’s commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage and supporting those who keep it alive for future generations.
