Since its debut Ranji Trophy fixture in 2017, the ground has hosted around 25 board matches.
St Xavier’s College, Thumba, Thiruvananthapuram has renewed its partnership with the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), extending the lease of its cricket ground for another 17 years.
With this, the total agreement period now stands at 33 years.
The renewed lease ensures that KCA will continue to manage the 6.3-acre ground and its facilities at Menamkulam, while the college retains ownership.
The agreement was signed by College Manager Father Sunny Jose SJ and KCA Secretary Vinod S Kumar.
The venue, Kerala’s largest cricket ground by boundary size, features 12 pitches, eight of which are BCCI-approved for first-class matches.
Since its debut Ranji Trophy fixture in 2017, the ground has hosted around 25 board matches.
The renewed deal allows KCA to further develop the facility, while the college retains access for its cricket activities.
The collaboration underlines a shared commitment to sports promotion and infrastructure development in Kerala.
