AIG Hospitals has inaugurated its new 300-bed multispecialty branch in Banjara Hills.
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has attended the inauguration ceremony as chief guest and praised the institution and its Chairman, Dr Nageshwar Reddy, for their contribution to advancing healthcare not only in Telangana but across the country.
Speaking at the event, the chief minister said, “Dr Nageshwar Reddy and AIG Hospitals have made our state proud with their world-class healthcare delivery and leadership in gastroenterology. Their commitment to research and innovation is commendable.”
He also expressed interest in exploring the Janani Mitra App, developed by AIG’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, for strengthening maternal healthcare services across the state.
According to the press release, the new facility is equipped with twin hybrid cath labs, modular operating theatres, state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging (including high-end CT and MRI), and advanced GI endoscopy suites. The hospital will also offer a wide range of specialties including GI Sciences, Cardiology, Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Liver Sciences, Pulmonary Medicine, Neurosciences, and Urology, among others.
Speaking at the event, Dr Nageshwar Reddy emphasized the hospital’s commitment to combining clinical excellence with research and education. “This branch continues our mission of delivering world-class care, expanding academic programs, and advancing research, all while keeping the patient at the centre,” he said.
A notable highlight of the new facility is the AIG Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Innovation, which aims to integrate AI tools into routine clinical practice.
“With the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation, we aim to redefine how healthcare is delivered by combining human expertise with technology’s limitless potential. We are developing transformative tools like PRISM (our structured voice-enabled EMR tool), the AI-based Polyp Detection Tool for real-time early cancer detection, and the Sepsis Prediction Tool that helps save lives in ICUs. These innovations show how human expertise and artificial intelligence can come together to create smarter, faster, and safer healthcare for everyone,” Dr Reddy noted.
Vice-Chairman of AIG Hospitals, PVS Raju, described the expansion as a strategic move to enhance access to world-class care within the city. “Our new branch at Banjara Hills brings AIG’s benchmarked healthcare closer to the heart of Hyderabad, allowing more patients to benefit from our services,” he said.
