Kerala is making steady progress in the nationwide 90-day mediation campaign aimed at resolving long-pending civil cases through amicable settlement.
The special drive, ‘Mediation – For the Nation’, jointly organised by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and the Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee (MCPC), has been active in the state since 1 July and will continue till 30 September.
The initiative covers a wide range of disputes, including family issues, bank loans, accident claims, bounced cheques, property disputes, and consumer complaints.

Kerala has mobilised over 700 trained advocates and judicial officers for the effort, operating through 78 ADR centres across the state.
Since January last year, 11,200 cases were referred for mediation in Kerala, with 2,113 successfully settled.
