Inspections in the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate

In a major crackdown on food adulteration, the Rachakonda Police conducted surprise raids across multiple zones, uncovering large-scale violations in food manufacturing units. Acting on the instructions of Commissioner of Police Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, the Special Operations Teams (SOT) I & II, in coordination with Law & Order staff and AR force, launched a special drive on July 2, targeting unlicensed and unhygienic food production centres.

During the operation, 46 cases were registered, and 52 individuals were arrested for manufacturing and distributing adulterated food products, many under counterfeit labels. Major seizures included 3,946 kg of ginger garlic paste, 575 litres of ghee, 3,037 kg of adulterated paste, 35 kg of paneer, and a stockpile of fake immunity-boosting tablets and powders worth ₹10 lakh.

Authorities flagged serious violations, including lack of FSSAI licenses, use of expired ingredients, child labour, and unhygienic conditions. Citizens are urged to check manufacturing and expiry dates before buying and report violations via WhatsApp at 8712662666.
