A 33 year-old man has been found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent after a nine year-old Keralite girl was shot in the head last year while eating ice cream with her family at a London restaurant.

The girl spent three months in hospital, underwent emergency surgery, and now lives with permanent injuries, including a bullet lodged in her brain.
Javon Riley, of Tottenham, was convicted at the Old Bailey of attempting to murder the three men. Though he did not fire the gun, he scouted the area, confirmed the targets presence, and aided the shooter’s escape.
The gunman remains at large, with police offering a £15,000 reward. Riley will be sentenced on September 12.
