In the aftermath of the devastating landslides in Churalmala, Mundakkai and Attamala in the district on 30 July, the Wayanad district administration on Wednesday, 7 August, released a draft list of missing persons.
The list, compiled under the supervision of the district collector, includes 131 individuals who have gone missing since the disaster. The list was meticulously prepared by verifying official records such as ration cards, voter lists, and labour department records.
It includes vital information such as the names of missing persons, their ration card numbers, addresses, names of relatives, phone numbers, and photos.
This is the first draft list of missing persons, and the public is urged to verify the list and provide any information they may have about the missing individuals.
The district administration will update the list based on the information received from the public.
Additionally, the authorities said if anyone has information about missing persons not included in the list, they can contact the district administration at 8078409770.
