UST, a digital solutions company, has donated medical equipment worth ₹12 lakh to the Urology Department of the Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.

The donation follows a request from Dr Haris Chirakkal, Head of the Department, for essential surgical tools.

The company handed over two Hopkins Telescopes — 0° and 30°, each 4 mm, 30 cm — vital for Cystoscopy and TURP procedures.

These advanced cystoscopes help urologists examine the urethra and bladder during surgeries.

The equipment was officially handed over on July 3 by UST’s Chief Values Officer Sunil Balakrishnan and his team.

“We are glad to support the hospital’s efforts in patient care,” Balakrishnan said. Dr Chirakkal expressed gratitude, calling it a timely and valuable contribution from one of Kerala’s largest IT employers.
