Thrissur district administration, in association with the Women and Child Development Department and Kanal Innovations, launched the Parent Up campaign as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative. The district-level inauguration was held at GVHSS Pazanji, with District Collector Arjun Pandian officially inaugurating the programme.
The Parent Up campaign is a dedicated training programme for parents, focusing on democratic parenting, healthy personal relationships, and scientifically addressing children’s mental and physical health challenges. The initiative aims to train over 8,500 parents through 100 sessions across the district.
Kattakambal Grama Panchayat President Reshma ES presided over the function.
District Panchayat Member Padmam Venugopal was the chief guest. Officials including Women and Child Development Officer Meera P and school heads participated. Students Adidev and Amrutha presented a portrait to the Collector.
