In her petition, Manjusha alleged that the earlier police probe was incomplete, claiming that crucial call records were withheld and that loopholes in the chargesheet could help the accused escape.

Naveen Babu was found hanging in his official quarters on 15 October, a day after CPI(M) leader PP Divya humiliated him in public.
Plea seeking a fresh investigation into the death of former Additional District Magistrate (ADM) K. Naveen Babu will now be decided by the Sessions Court.
This follows after the Kannur Judicial First Class Magistrate Court on Friday, 29 August, transferred a petition filed by Manjusha, wife of former Additional District Magistrate (ADM) K Naveen Babu, seeking a fresh investigation into his death, to the District Sessions Court.
The court accepted the plea of senior advocate K Viswan, representing former district panchayat president PP Divya, that the matter be taken up by the higher court.
The court ruled that the Sessions Court would decide on the need for further investigation.
In her petition, Manjusha alleged that the earlier police probe was incomplete, claiming that crucial call records were withheld and that loopholes in the chargesheet could help the accused escape.
She also accused the police of suppressing vital evidence.
Divya’s counsel, however, countered that the plea was baseless and aimed only at delaying the case.
