The rift between Kerala Blasters FC and the fan group Manjappada has widened, with the supporters group calling for a boycott of the club’s remaining matches.
In a social media statement, Manjappada blamed poor performances, lack of direction, weak player management and questionable signings for the club’s decline.
Kerala Blasters are currently 13th in the table, with just one point from six matches.
Since the departure of coach Ivan Vukomanovic in 2024, the club has struggled under Mikael Stahre, TG Purushothaman and David Catala, all of whom were removed mid-season.
Manjappada, which has around 1.22 lakh followers on X, 3.34 lakh on Facebook and 7.67 lakh on Instagram, is often described as one of Asia’s biggest football fan groups.
The boycott could further affect attendance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi, where crowds have already dropped this season.
