A Malayali soldier from Guruvayur, Thrissur district, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances while en route to a training assignment in Uttar Pradesh. The missing soldier, Farzeen Ghafoor, was serving at the Army Medical College in Pune and had travelled to Bareilly for training.

Farzeen boarded the Ramnagar Express from Bandra on July 9, but contact with his family abruptly ceased on July 10. His phone has remained unreachable since then.

Family seeks help 

Alarmed by his disappearance, Farzeen’s family filed a complaint with the local MLA in Guruvayur and sought help from Union Minister Suresh Gopi. According to mobile tower data, his phone was last traced to a location near Bareilly, but he neither reported for duty nor contacted anyone thereafter.

Farzeen had last visited home three months ago. The family remains deeply concerned and is urging authorities for immediate action to locate him.
