Synopsis: The Kerala government issued transfer orders for over 20 officers, including four district Collectors. It has also appointed as sub-collectors the officers who have recently completed their training.
In a significant late-night bureaucratic reshuffle, the Kerala government on Tuesday, 29 July, issued transfer orders for over 20 officers. Among the notable changes, four districts — Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, and Palakkad — got new District Collectors.
Umesh NSK, the current Ernakulam Collector, has been appointed as the new Director of General Education. He will be succeeded by Priyanka G, who was serving as the Palakkad Collector.
Madhavikutty MS, Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, has been appointed as the new District Collector of Palakkad. In Idukki, Dr Dinesan Cheruvat, formerly Director of Panchayats, will take charge as District Collector, replacing V Vigneshwari.
Vigneshwari has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Agriculture Department, with additional charges of Deputy Project Director of the Kerala Climate Resilient Agri-Value Chain Modernisation Project (KERA) and Director of the Centre for Continuing Education, Kerala.
John V Samuel, the outgoing Collector of Kottayam, will now serve as Director of the State Water Transport Department.
He will be replaced by Chetan Kumar Meena, currently serving as Additional Resident Commissioner at Kerala House in New Delhi.
Dr K Vasuki, Secretary, Labour and Skills Department, is appointed as Secretary, General Education Department.
Shanavas S, Director of General Education, is now Special Secretary, Labour and Skills Department, and will hold additional charge as Director of Panchayats.
Puneet Kumar, Resident Commissioner at Kerala House, is relieved from his additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary, Local Self Government Department.
Sheeba George, Additional Secretary, Revenue Department, is now Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department.
Dr Chithra S has been appointed as Additional Secretary, General Education Department, and relieved from her Local Self Government Department charges.
Geetha A, Joint Commissioner, Land Revenue, is now Additional Secretary, Revenue Department, with additional charges as Commissioner, Housing, and Secretary, Kerala State Housing Board.
Nizamudeen A, Mission Director, MGNREGS, is posted as Director, Kerala Institute of Local Administration, and given additional charge of Managing Director, Impact Kerala.
Sreedhanya Suresh, Inspector General of Registration, becomes Additional Director (General), Tourism, and will continue to hold charge of Director, Samoohika Sannadha Sena and Kerala Youth Leadership Academy.
Dr Aswathy Srinivas, Managing Director, Civil Supplies Corporation, is appointed as Additional Resident Commissioner at Kerala House, New Delhi, with additional charge as Director, Kerala State Insurance Department.
Dr Arun JO has been moved from the post of Director, Backwards Classes Development Department, to Chief Operating Officer of the Township Project in Wayanad.
Meera K, Sub Collector, Fort Kochi, has been appointed as Director, Survey and Land Records.
Dr Mithun Premraj, Sub Collector, Ottapalam, is transferred and posted as Joint Commissioner, Land Revenue. The officer will hold the full additional charge of Secretary, Land Board.
Misal Sagar Bharat, Sub Collector, Mananthavady, is transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary and Officer on Special Duty, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Development Department. The officer will hold the full additional charge of Director, Backward Classes Development Department.
Harshil R Meena, Sub Collector, Kozhikode, is transferred and posted as Director, Environment and Climate Change
Jayakrishnan VM, Sub Collector, Devikulam, has been appointed as Managing Director, Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited.
Ranjith D, Sub Collector, Kottayam, has been appointed as Mission Director, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Apurva Tripathi, Sub Collector, Perinthalmanna, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Life Mission. The officer will hold the full additional charge of Mission Director, AMRUT.
On completion of the Assistant Secretaryship Programme for Professional Course Phase II training at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, the following officers are posted as Sub Collectors in the Revenue Divisions noted against their names.
