Neurodiversity
Neurodivergent individuals have often been overlooked in the fast-paced corporate world, but Kochi is now set to change that. Infopark, in collaboration with the state government, is launching ‘I’ — India’s first co-working space designed specifically for people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
The facility, located on the third to ninth floors of the South Metro Station building, will soon welcome over 500 professionals. Construction is in its final stages, and the model developed in Kochi is planned to be replicated in other parts of Kerala.
Inspired by global best practices, ‘I’ has been carefully designed to meet the needs of individuals with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Tourette Syndrome. The aim is to create a comfortable, inclusive, and accessible environment where diverse talents can thrive.
A co-working space is a shared work environment equipped with all necessary professional amenities, which companies can lease according to their workforce size.
By adopting this model, Infopark hopes to promote not only flexibility but also genuine inclusivity in the state’s IT sector.
