Kerala Tourism to develop Noottavan Para with ₹2.2 crore investment

The Kerala Tourism Department has sanctioned ₹2.2 crore for the development of the Noottavan Para tourism project in Puliyoor grama panchayat, Alappuzha.

Announcing the decision, Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cherian said the initiative is part of a larger plan to establish a heritage tourism circuit, highlighting the cultural and traditional identity of the Chengannur region.

The project will include facilities such as a rest centre, rain shelters, safety handrails, a cantilever viewpoint, CCTV surveillance, toilets, and a ropeway. It aims to attract both adventure and heritage tourism enthusiasts.

Minister Cherian noted that once completed, Noottavan Para could be linked with other prominent tourism spots in the area, including Pandavanpara, Poomala Chaal, and Kuthiravattam Chira aqua tourism.

The project will be executed with the technical guidance of the Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society to ensure safety and quality standards in its infrastructure and adventure-friendly amenities.
