Kerala to roll out smart revenue card with 14 key documents
In a major digital governance leap, Kerala will soon introduce a smart revenue card containing 14 essential land and property documents embedded in a single chip-equipped card.
Revenue and Housing Minister K Rajan announced the initiative while dedicating the Kodoth Smart Village Office in Kasaragod — built at ₹50 lakh — to the nation.
Highlighting Kerala’s digital drive, the minister said the National Survey Conclave held in Thiruvananthapuram recognised the state’s speed, transparency, and public participation in digital land surveys as a model for the country.
The conclave, with delegates from 23 states, recommended Kerala lead India’s digital survey mission.
Over 4.5 lakh hectares have been surveyed digitally in just 18 months, and the Pattaya Missions and Adalats have created over four lakh new landowners in nine years.
Around 600 village offices are being upgraded as smart villages, revolutionising service delivery across Kerala, said the minister.
