The Kerala State Election Commission on Wednesday, 24 July, published the draft voter list for the upcoming local body polls, revealing a total of 2,667,8256 voters statewide. Of these, 12,632,186 are male, 14,045,837 are female, and 233 identify as transgender.

Malappuram district leads in all three categories, with 1,585,822 male voters and 1,685,436 female voters. Notably, it also has the highest number of transgender voters, 44 in total.

This updated draft follows the recent re‑division of constituencies across local self‑government bodies. Existing voter data has now been sorted into newly formed wards. The draft list has been made available for public scrutiny at various offices, including local self‑government bodies, block panchayats, taluk offices, and village offices.

Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) will entertain applications and objections until 7 August. Corrections will be processed by 29 August, and the final voter list is scheduled for publication on 30 August.
