Kerala Police arrest ambulance driver and teenager for allegedly gang-raping 10-year-old girl

A report was filed with the child welfare officer and necessary action was taken before shifting the survivor to a facility in Kollam. A case has been filed under sections of POCSO against both the accused.

Five-year-old girl raped and killed in Hubballi

Synopsis: A 10-year-old girl in Adur, Kerala was brutally assaulted by a 19-year-old ambulance driver and a 15-year-old boy, who allegedly abducted her and sexually abused her in an abandoned building. Police were alerted, and the girl was taken to Adur General Hospital for medical examination. The accused were identified, and a case was filed under POCSO.

A shocking case of kidnapping and gang-rape has come to light in Adur, Kerala, where a 10-year-old girl was brutally assaulted by a 19-year-old ambulance driver and a 15-year-old boy.

The incident took place near Adur on Sunday evening.

Police said the main accused, ambulance driver Sudheesh Ramesh of Infopark in Kakkanad, had abducted the girl from near her home and taken her to a nearby abandoned building where he sexually abused her.

The 15-year-old boy also raped the child.

Police take action

The police were immediately informed and the girl was taken to Adur General Hospital for medical examination. The accused were identified on the basis of photographs shown to the child.

Ramesh was taken into police custody at 2 am on Monday. G Santosh Kumar of Adur police will lead the investigation into the gang-rape case.
