The couple recently approached the Kerala High Court alleging threats to their lives after receiving a message warning that they would be shot dead.

Synopsis: Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas instructed the Station House Officer of the Ernakulam Central Police Station to ensure adequate protection for the woman and her husband and facilitate their safe travel to Madhya Pradesh and back.

The Kerala High Court has directed the state police to provide security to the woman who gained nationwide attention during the Kumbh Mela and later entered the film industry, as well as her husband, Farmaan Khan, during their journey to Madhya Pradesh in connection with a criminal case filed against him.

The case, lodged by the woman’s father in Madhya Pradesh, accused Khan of kidnapping and included charges under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and provisions related to child marriage.

Earlier this month, the High Court granted the couple transit bail, enabling them to seek anticipatory bail from the Madhya Pradesh High Court before 3 July, when the interim protection expires.
