Kerala Health Minister Veena George has announced that seven more health institutions in the state have secured the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) accreditation, pushing the total number of accredited centers in the state to 240.
Among the newly recognized facilities, the Begur Family Health Center in Wayanad earned particular distinction with an exceptional score of 98.79 percent.
The other centers that received accreditation include the Koppam Community Health Center in Palakkad with 97.63 percent, Kundamangalam Family Health Center in Kozhikode with 90.75 percent, Chattanchal and Panathur Family Health Centers in Kasaragod scoring 86.88 percent and 85.88 percent respectively, and Perumanna and Chaliyam Family Health Centers in Kozhikode, which scored 95.08 percent and 94.47 percent.
In addition to these achievements, 14 hospitals in the state have also been awarded National Objectives Certification, while five others have received the National Muskan accreditation, which recognizes efforts in providing child-friendly healthcare environments.
