On Sunday, 6 July, Kerala Health Minister Veena George visited the family of D Bindu (54), who lost her life in the recent building collapse at Kottayam Medical College Hospital. The minister arrived at Bindu’s residence in Ummamkunnu in the Thalayolaparambu area of the Kottayam district at around 7 am on Sunday.
Bindu’s husband, Vishruthan, and mother were consoled by the minister, who assured them of the government’s support. She promised that the state would meet all the needs of the family. Vishruthan, who only requested a job for his son, expressed satisfaction with the government’s response.
