Child rights commission takes action against Reporter TV journalist over alleged indecent video
The Kerala State Child Rights Commission has initiated a suo motu case against Dr. Arun Kumar, a journalist with Reporter TV, following allegations that he used inappropriate and objectionable innuendo in a video report.
The controversial footage, which went viral on social media, has sparked widespread criticism.
KV Manojkumar, the Chairperson of the Child Rights Commission, has directed the head of Reporter TV and the Police Chief of Thiruvananthapuram to submit a detailed report regarding the incident.

The Cantonment Police in Thiruvananthapuram have filed a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against three individuals from Reporter TV.
The accused have been identified as Dr. Arun Kumar, Shabas Ahammed, and one other person, whose identity is yet to be disclosed.
An FIR was officially registered on Wednesday night.
The case was triggered by a formal complaint from the Director of the Department of Women and Child Development, who accused the individuals of indecently portraying a minor girl in the broadcast.
In response, the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also demanded a report on the matter from the channel.
The incident has raised serious concerns regarding the ethical standards of media reporting and its potential impact on vulnerable children. Authorities are investigating the matter further, and the accused individuals are expected to face legal action
