In a tragic incident at Chemballikundu near Vengara in the Kannur district of Kerala on Sunday, 20 July, a woman identified as MV Reema (30) from Vayalapra died after jumping into the river with her three-year-old son.
The child is still missing, and search efforts by the Fire Force personnel and a scuba team are ongoing.
The incident occurred around 12.45 am on Sunday. Further details are awaited.
