Air Commodore Mangathil Karakad
Air Commodore Mangathil Karakad Chandrasekhar, father of BJP state president and former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, passed away in Bengaluru on Friday, 30 August, at the age of 92.
A native of Desamangalam, Thrissur, he had joined the Indian Air Force in 1954 and retired as Air Commodore in 1986.
He is survived by his wife Anandhavalli, daughter Dr. Daya Menon, and son Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The funeral details will be announced later.
