A total of 648 individuals remain on Kerala’s Nipah virus contact list, according to state health department.
The highest number, 421, is in Palakkad, followed by 115 in Kozhikode, 110 in Malappuram, and one each in Ernakulam and Thrissur.
Of those, 33 people — 21 from Malappuram and 12 from Palakkad — have completed their isolation period and have been removed from the list.
Currently, 13 individuals in Malappuram and 17 in Palakkad are undergoing treatment in isolation.
The department confirmed that 97 samples from Malappuram have tested negative so far.

A high-level review meeting was held under the leadership of Health Minister Veena George on Friday to assess the situation.
Attendees included the Additional Chief Secretary of Health, NHM State Mission Director, Directors of Health and Medical Education, District Collectors, District Medical Officers, police officials, and representatives from various departments.
The Health Department is continuing strict surveillance and contact tracing across districts to contain any potential spread of the virus. Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and follow health guidelines.
