Synopsis: Police said Kiran, Kishore and Ryan allegedly forced the 30-year-old woman into their car, drove her around, took turns raping her in a lodge, and robbed her of ₹5,000. The survivor has been working in a Mysuru eatery.
Mysuru Police have arrested three men following a complaint of abduction, gang-rape and robbery.
Identifying the accused trio as Kiran, Kishore and Ryan, police said they allegedly forced a 30-year-old West Bengal woman into their car, took turns raping her, and robbed her of ₹5,000. The survivor has been working in a local eatery.
The alleged incident occurred on the night of Saturday, 18 July, while the woman was returning to her rented accommodation at T Narasipura after celebrating a friend’s birthday in Mysuru city.

Quoting the woman, police said the driver of a grey-coloured car stopped to ask her directions. While she was taking to him, two others dragged her into the vehicle and drove away. The men threatened her into silence, saying they would otherwise smash beer bottles on her head.
In her complaint, the survivor said the men drove with her along the Gunjanarasimhaswamy Temple route towards Muguru village, and stopped near several hotels in an apparent bid to disorient her.
Around 11:30 pm, she was allegedly forced into a lodge, where she was gang-raped. The survivor alleged that the men robbed her of ₹5,000 and demanded more money.

Sensing an opportunity to escape, the woman told the men that she had kept ₹1 lakh in her room. The men took the survivor to her room on the condition that she would hand over the money to them.
After being dropped near her residence between 1:30 and 2 am on Sunday, 19 July, she went home and alerted the landlord, who immediately reported the matter to the police. The men, waiting for her to bring the money, fled on seeing an approaching police vehicle.
Based on her complaint, police registered a case under 70, 74, 137(2), 309(4) read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A special team of investigators soon arrested the men.
Police said Kiran, Kishore and Ryan lived in T Narasipura. Further probe is underway.
