Dr Hiralvyas was arrested for obstructing public servants from executing their duties, showering abuses, and issuing threats.
Synopsis. Hiravyas flew off the handle after the police refused to release her friend’s two-wheeler — seized for illegal parking — without paying a spot fine.
Less than two months after she was offloaded and arrested for creating a ruckus aboard an Air India Express flight, Dr Hiralvyas once again landed in police custody for an almost similar offence.
This time, however, she was not on an aircraft, but on firm ground in Bengaluru’s Yelahanka New Town — nor did she bite anyone. She just hurled abuses in Hindi and threatened the police officers on duty.
The doctor has been arrested, along with her friend, for obstructing the duty of public servants, outraging the modesty of a woman, and other offences.
In a video that has gone viral, Dr Hiralvyas was seen hurling abuses and issuing threats at the police officers. She was infuriated after the police put a wheel clamp on her friend Mohammed Sarbas’s two-wheeler, which was parked in a no-parking zone on Thursday, 14 August.
This was not the first time that a video, featuring Dr Hiralvyas, has gone viral. A video of the ruckus she created on the aircraft, too, was widely circulated.
Reports said she threatened to strip a woman officer.
Now, the Yelahanka Town Police has filed a first information report, naming Sarbas and Dr Hiravyas as the first and second accused, respectively.
Dr Hiralvyas allegedly created a ruckus and behaved indecently in public. A screenshot from the video that went viral.
“On this day, 14.08.2025, regarding this incident, a case has been registered at the Yelahanka New Town Police Station. The accused has been taken into custody and a legal investigation has been initiated,” the police said on X.
The duo has been charged under sections 132, 352, 79, and 75, r/w 3(5) of the BNS, based on a complaint by Women Police Sub-Inspector BG Nirmala.
Officer Nirmala complained that her team was performing its duty the bike was found parked opposite Sheshadripuram college. They put a wheel clamp and waited for the owner. When Sarbas arrived, they asked him to pay the fine. But he became enraged and yelled that there was no signage specifying that it was a non-parking area.
The officer called for backup as Sarbas refused to pay the fine and, and along with Hiralvyas, obstructed her from doing her duty.
Sarbas called Dr Hiralvyas, who arrived on another two-wheeler at the scene. She instructed Sarbas to leave on her two-wheeler. However, the police insisted on his paying the spot fine, which enraged her.
As the woman created a ruckus and behaved indecently in public, the police took her to the police station in a Hoysala vehicle.
In the previous case registered by the BIAL police on 17 June, she was identified as Dr Vyas Hiral Mohanbhai, 36, from Yelahanka.
“It is the same person. She had then bitten an ASI after creating a ruckus. There is an FIR registered against her at the Devanahalli International Airport,” a police source confirmed to South First on Saturday, 16 August.
The doctor was then arrested from an Air India Express flight IX-2749 F to Surat from Bengaluru at the airport after allegedly creating a ruckus over a luggage-related issue and misbehaving with both airline staff and fellow passengers.
The issue stemmed from the woman allegedly stowing her baggage at a space meant for another seat. When asked to shift, she refused, and picked up a quarrel with the crew. She was offloaded after the woman disturbed the boarding process.
According to the FIR, “She misbehaved with the staff and obstructed them in the discharge of their duty, leading to a situation that affected fellow passengers and posed a risk to flight safety.”
Airline officials immediately de-boarded her and handed her over to the airport police. The FIR further mentioned that her aggressive behaviour continued even at the police station, where she allegedly attempted to assault a female officer.
Based on the complaint, the BIAL Police Station has registered a case under Section 3(1)(a) of the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against Safety of Civil Aviation Act, 1982 and sections 351(4) and 353(1)(b) of the BNS.
