Stray Dog Finds Home with Uttara Kannada SP After Losing Family in Landslide(KB Jayachandran/ South First)
A year after losing its caretakers in the 16 July Shirur landslide, a stray dog has found a loving home with Uttara Kannada SP M Narayan. The dog, once seen frantically searching the rubble of a hotel for its lost family, was taken in by the SP after no animal welfare groups came forward.
Now living comfortably at the SP’s residence, the dog has become a local attraction, with VIPs including Home Minister G Parameshwar and others taking selfies with him. SP Narayan has vowed to care for the dog, even if he is transferred from his current post.
