HD Revanna and Prajwal Revanna

The special investigation team (SIT) in Karnataka that is currently investigating allegations of sexual abuse against JD(S) MP and NDA’s Hassan candidate Prajwal Revanna has set up a helpline number for women.

The number — (6360938947) — is for the women to report any instances of sexual offences reportedly involving the Hassan MP.

The SIT press release stated, “During the investigation, it was found that there are more victims associated with this incident.”

It added: “If any victim or informant requires legal assistance, security, or any other help, they can call the helpline number 6360938947 to provide information about the victim or informant. Confidentiality will be maintained.”

HD Revanna sent to 3-day police custody

Meanwhile, Prajwal’s father and JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, who was detained from his father, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda’s, home in Padmanabhanagar on Saturday evening, was presented before a magistrate in Koramangala on Sunday evening.

He has been sent to three days of police custody for further interrogation by the SIT.

Sources told South First that Revanna denied his involvement in any of the cases registered so far against him. He told reporters he was being framed.

“It is a political conspiracy against me. I have never seen anything like this in my 40 years of political life,” he added.

Revanna was taken into custody hours after Mysuru police were said to have found a woman allegedly abducted by the Holenarasipur MLA’s aide on his instructions.

The missing woman’s son had lodged a complaint accusing Revanna and his aide Satish Babanna of abducting his mother.

The SIT rescued the woman, a Krishnaraja Nagar resident, from Revanna’s assistant Rajasekhar’s farmhouse near Kalenahalli in Mysuru’s Hunsur taluk on Saturday.
