The Raichur Police in Karnataka have arrested a 24-year-old tea seller for allegedly entering into a terror conspiracy with an overseas contact.
Mohammed Sahil of Gandhi Chowk was arrested after the police found suspicious conversation trails on his mobile phone. Police said they found Sahil to be in touch with one Rana Bhai over Instagram and WhatsApp.
He was arrested after the police’s social media monitoring cell flagged his activities.
An FIR registered at Sadar Bazar Police Station said Sahil allegedly requested Rana for a pistol. He was offered money and weapons for helping to incite violence in India.

Police have alleged that the two were conspiring to carry out activities threatening India’s sovereignty and national security.
