Bengaluru Southeast CEN (Cyber, Economic and Narcotics) Crime Police Inspector Ravi KB was killed in a road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh district on Friday, August 28, while on official duty in connection with a cybercrime investigation.
Ravi was travelling in a sleeper bus near Biaora when it met with an accident on a flyover. The impact reportedly threw him from his upper berth and off the flyover, killing him.
Ravi and two other Bengaluru police personnel had stayed back in Madhya Pradesh to pursue another accused after their team had already arrested two suspects in the cybercrime case, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said.
An assistant sub-inspector travelling with Ravi was seriously injured, while a constable escaped unhurt. The accident reportedly left four people dead and several others injured.
