Karnataka Minister for IT and BT on Friday, took to X, to share that the Departments of Law, Home and IT will hold consultations and come up with a draft proposal, before implementation of the proposed Misinformation Bill.

This comes amid reports raising concerns that the said bill might curb free speech.

He wrote on X: “A lot of friends from the media have been seeking clarifications and it seems like there is a lot of misinformation on the proposed Misinformation Bill in public. The Departments of Law, Home and IT will hold consultations and come up with a draft proposal, before implementation.”
