Miscreants threatening Anoop.
The Parappana Agrahara police on Thursday, 31 October, arrested one accused among the two who attacked the car of a Kerala-based family in Bengaluru on Wednesday night
The attack occurred at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday in Choodasandra, near Kasavanahalli.
Anoop George, a software engineer hailing from Pala in the Kottayam distinct in Kerala, was returning home after shopping, accompanied by his wife Jis and their children Selestay (11) and Steve (five). Their car was targeted by unknown individuals and Steve suffered injuries to his head in the attack.
The family resides in the Astro Green Cascade Layout in Chikkanayakanahalli in Bengaluru.
While the family was travelling in their car, two individuals on a motorcycle stopped their car at Choodasandra, asking Anoop to lower the window.
However, Anoop felt uneasy about the situation and chose to drive away without complying.
In response, one of the individuals hurled a stone at the vehicle, shattering the rear glass and injuring Steve, who suffered cuts from the glass shards.
He was promptly taken to a nearby hospital, where he received treatment. After being discharged, Steve returned home with a bandage on his head and is currently under observation.
The incident has raised suspicions that the attack may have been preplanned. Upon arriving at the hospital, the two individuals followed Anoop and Steve, attempting to persuade them to settle the matter amicably.
Anoop, however, expressed his intention to pursue legal action. The Parappana Agrahara police registered a case based on Anoop’s complaint, resulting in the arrest of one suspect on Thursday night. The second suspect remains at large, and authorities are actively searching for him.
Replying to an X post regarding the incident, the police wrote, “Accused has been identified and very serious action will be taken.”

Meanwhile, netizens are pointing out that outer Bengaluru has been witnessing several such incidents recently.
“Everyday there is one incident. Because of dashcams we probably get to see them. Begs the question – How many are not reported daily @dcpwhitefield the outer areas of the city have been reeling under many incidents. We hope there is proper investigation into each and remedial measures taken,” an X user with the handle name Whitefield Rising said.
