Karnataka to introduce apprenticeship-based degrees, revamp syllabus
Karnataka will roll out apprenticeship-based degree programmes and revamp university curricula with industry inputs to better align education with job market demands, said Higher Education Minister Dr. MC Sudhakar.
Speaking at the Global Women Entrepreneurs Summit, he highlighted courses like BCom in Logistics, Retail, E-commerce, and Finance, which include apprenticeships in the final semesters. The state aims to create an industry-ready workforce through dynamic, tech-relevant syllabi.
Dr. Sudhakar also lauded the rise of women entrepreneurs and emphasized the need for academic institutions to match the pace of innovation seen in Bengaluru’s thriving startup and IT ecosystem.
