Karnataka police arrest three people for allegedly attacking a worker

The Kalasipalya police arrested three people on Tuesday for allegedly attacking a worker wearing a saffron towel.

The incident occurred on 24 August, Sunday, opposite the Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand in Bengaluru. Videos of the incident have now surfaced on social media.

An FIR has been filed following a complaint by Harikrishna, who works at a travel company along with Shilendra Kumar, the worker who was attacked.

According to details of the FIR, the suspects arrived near the Royal Travels office, where the complainants worked, and confronted Kumar. They allegedly pushed him and asked him why he was wearing a saffron towel. When the complainant tried to intervene, the suspects allegedly abused him and tore his shirt, according to the FIR.

Police officials initially filed a non-cognisable report and registered an FIR on 25 August after receiving permission from a local court. Further investigation is underway.
