The Central Government’s PM Vishwakarma Yojana, aimed at empowering traditional artisans, has seen Karnataka emerge as a top-performing state. As of June 30, 2025, out of 2.71 crore applications received nationwide, 29.94 lakh registrations were completed—achieving 99.8% of the national target.
Karnataka led with 32.22 lakh applications and 5.71 lakh successful registrations (17.7%), surpassing the national average of 11%. Districts like Tumakuru, Kolar, and Chamarajanagar performed notably well. The state also excelled in verifying applications across all three stages. SC and ST participation was high, with over 1.9 lakh beneficiaries registered and most completing basic training.
While states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra followed, Karnataka stood out for both volume and efficiency. However, some districts like Vijayapura and Bagalkote lagged in conversion rates.
