Synopsis: Just two days after a major reshuffle in the state police department, the Karnataka government modified or cancelled some of the postings. The state government had issued an order transferring 35 IPS officers.

Just two days after a major reshuffle in the state police department, the Karnataka government on Thursday, 17 July, modified or cancelled some of the postings.

On Tuesday, the state government issued an order transferring 35 IPS officers.

The transfer of Dr Chandragupta, former Inspector General of Police & Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes), Bengaluru, has been modified, and he is now posted as Inspector General of Police (Intelligence), Bengaluru. He was earlier posted as Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburagi.

Other transfers

Dr YS Ravi Kumar, Inspector General of Police (Intelligence), Bengaluru, is transferred as Inspector General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

Shantanu Sinha, Deputy Inspector General of Police, CID, is transferred as Deputy Inspector General of Police, North Eastern Range, Kalaburagi.

Meanwhile, the order transferring Dr Simi Mariam George as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic South division, Bengaluru city, has been cancelled, and the officer continues in the post of Joint Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru.

The order transferring Dr Gopal M Byakod as Joint Director, Forensic Science Laboratory, Bengaluru, is partially modified, and the officer is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic South division, Bengaluru city.

The transfer of Jitendra Kumar Dayama as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Mangaluru City, stands cancelled, and the officer is continued in the post of Superintendent of Police, Anti-Naxal Force, Udupi District.

Mithun HN, Superintendent of Police, Coastal Security Police, Udupi, is transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Mangaluru City.
