Synopsis: The postings, ratified by the Governor, came into effect immediately.
The Karnataka government on Thursday, 18 June, effected a reshuffle in the senior bureaucracy, posting, transferring or assigning additional charges to IAS officers.
The latest rejig followed a minor reshuffle that the government under DK Shivakumar had effected on 10 June.
The reshuffle, ratified by the Governor, included the following officials:
Major Manivannan P, Commissioner, Bengaluru Development Authority, has been placed in the concurrent charge of the post of Commissioner, Directorate of Urban Land Transport, Bengaluru.
Imkongla Jamir M, Resident Commissioner, Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi, was transferred as Secretary (Coordination), Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi. She replaces Sameer Shukla, who has been posted as the Resident Commissioner.
Dr Prasad NV, waiting for posting, has been assigned the charge of Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department. He replaces Thulasi Maddineni.
Thulasi Maddineni, Secretary, Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been transferred as Secretary, Education Department (Higher Education), relieving Khushboo G. Chowdhary of concurrent charge.
Randeep D, Secretary (Panchayat Raj), Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.
Sivakumar KB, Managing Director, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation, has been posted as Managing Director, Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), relieving Dr Selvamani R.
Dr Ram Prasath Manohar V, Managing Director, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited, has been placed in the concurrent charge of the post of Commissioner of Tourism, relieving Shivaprasad PR.
Dr Sateesha BC, Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Commerce and Industries Department, has been posted as Commissioner, Agriculture Department, relieving Patil Yalagouda Shivanagouda.
Akram Pasha, waiting for posting, has been posted as Mission Director, National Health Mission & Directorate of Health. He replaces Dr Avinash Menon Rajendran.
Raghunandan Murthy, Commissioner of Treasuries, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. He will also hold the additional charge of Commissioner of Treasuries.
Nitish K, waiting for posting, has been posted as Director of Municipal Administration, in the place of Ravindra PN. He has also been placed in the concurrent charge of the post of Special Commissioner (Health and Education), Greater Bengaluru Authority, taking over from Venkatachalapathy R.
Gyanendra Kumar Gangwar, Joint Managing Director, Karnataka Urban Water Supply and Drainage Board, hhas been posted as Director, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Commerce and Industries Department, replacing Dr Sateesha BC.
Gajanan Bale, General Manager, Resettlement & Rehabilitation and Land Acquisition, Upper Krishna Project, Bagalkot, has been posted as Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Panchayat, Bagalkot District, relieving Sangappa of concurrent charge. Bale has also been placed in the concurrent charge of the post of General Manager, Resettlement & Rehabilitation and Land Acquisition, Upper Krishna Project.
All postings were with immediate effect, a government notification said.
